Kinder Sailing

Let’s start an adventure!

Kinder prams are popular one-week sessions designed to give the youngest sailors (ages 5-6) an easy, safe introduction to sailing. This provides great exposure to our (and hopefully their) favorite activity while starting to teach them the fundamental sailing skills and building confidence on the water that carries over into other areas of their lives!

1 Week Sessions: Starting June 18, 2018

Program Cost: $175 per student

Schedule: 1pm-4pm, Monday – Friday

Who should take this course

Beginner sailors, ages 5-6 who have not entered 1st grade.

What will my child learn?

Our highly trained staff uses the US SAILING Certification System in an open learning environment. Instructors ease sailors into the sport with land drills followed by extensive on-water instruction. We ask parents to leave the instruction area during classes so as to gain the students’ full attention. Sailors will spend class time in our J22 keelboats with an instructor for maximum confidence and learning.

Will my child have fun?
Swimming, sailing games and other sailing related physical activities are interspersed throughout the classes in order to make this a fun and memorable experience! Our instructors are personable, energetic and love interacting with the students in order to make sailing camp an exciting learning experience for the sailors

What do we need to bring?
Students are asked to bring their own snacks as well as a life jacket, a water bottle, change of clothes, water shoes and towel.
